Precision Loiter

Precision loiter is available for ArduPilot only.

  1. Ensure precision landing is working.
  2. Assign an extra transmitter channel for the precision loiter auxiliary function.
  3. Enable precision loiter on the selected channel:
    • RC#_OPTION = PrecLoiter Enable (39)
  4. To initiate precision loiter:
    • Hover the UAV above the landing target.
    • Switch to Loiter Mode.
    • Invoke the precision loiter aux function by flipping the designated switch.
    • The UAV should move over the landing target while remaining at the same altitude.
