Landing Targets
A Landing Target is a structured pattern of fiducial markers detected by the Landmark module, which reports the target’s position to the flight controller. Pre-made targets can be downloaded below, and the configurator can be used to create custom targets.
Print at 1:1 scale. The files below are sized correctly, but some browsers and printers may automatically rescale them. After printing, measure the outer dimensions of the target and confirm they match the specified values.
Landing Target Configurator
Create custom landing targets using our web-based configurator.
Custom Landing Target Instructions
- Use the Landing Target Configurator to create a custom landing target.
- Export the landing-target.svg and landing-target.json files.
- Open landing-target.svg using Google Chrome and print at 100% scale.
- Remove the microSD card from the Landmark module and insert it into a computer.
- A volume named bootfs should automatically mount.
- Place landing-target.json in this folder: bootfs/marker_layouts
- All files in bootfs/marker_layouts will be used for detection. Delete any existing files to prevent detection.
- Eject the microSD card and insert it back into the Landmark module.
A4 Max
The A4 Max target fully occupies a standard A4 sheet. It is well suited for maximizing detection range when printing on A4 or Letter paper.
In the image below, the red and green arrows denote the origin, (0, 0), and the orientation of the landing target.

Fibonacci
Fibonacci targets are constructed recursively with progressively larger markers. Choose a size that fits your landing platform. These targets provide a good balance between detection range and detection robustness.
